On the road again with Friulane Flats: Let's take a walk on Caprera Island

Sardinia in summer is great, but my favorite time to visit is early May. The weather starts getting warm, but it's not as hot as in August and tourists have not arrived yet. Pleasant boat trips around the beautiful coasts and islands are possible. It's a perfect time to stroll the scenic trails and enjoy panoramic views inland.

Nestled in the embrace of the Tyrrhenian Sea, the island of Caprera is a haven of tranquility and natural beauty. Located on the northeastern coast of Sardinia, Italy, this unspoiled gem has long been a retreat of peaceful landscapes and rugged terrain. Once the last residence of Giuseppe Garibaldi, Caprera invites travelers to explore its pristine land and historical roots.

Determined to blend comfort, style, and durability during my trip, I turned to Friulane Flats — also known as Venetian ballerina shoes. With rubber soles and a classic silhouette, they proved ideal for walking and exploration.

In this article, we’ll explore the captivating island of Caprera: its nature, its history, and the exceptional style and comfort of Friulane Ballet Flats very much needed in the often  uneven Sardinia trail. Join me as we traverse this magical landscape in effortless fashion.

Caprera: A Natural Wonder

Part of the La Maddalena Archipelago, Caprera is a pristine haven for nature lovers and history buffs. With its rugged coastlines and crystal waters, it’s a paradise for hikers, explorers, and those looking to escape daily life.

Exploring the Sights

One of Caprera’s most famous landmarks is the Casa Bianca, the final home of Giuseppe Garibaldi. Now a museum, the White House honors his life and legacy with artifacts and sweeping views.

Captivating Beaches and Bays

Caprera is known for its rugged coastlines, hidden coves, and pristine beaches like Cala Portese, Cala Coticcio, and Cala Garibaldi. Friulane shoes kept me comfortable on the rocky paths and sandy shores while taking in the Mediterranean’s beauty.

Hiker’s Paradise

Caprera is a dream for hikers, offering trails that wind through its stunning scenery. Friulane shoes provided support and comfort throughout the journey — their rubber soles were perfect for the varied terrain.

Top Trails

Sentiero del Generale

Sentiero del Generale leads to the summit of Mount Tejalone. With rugged paths and Mediterranean brush, Friulane Flats offered great grip and support — and the views were unforgettable.

Cala Garibaldi Trail

This scenic trail to Cala Garibaldi weaves through Caprera’s wild interior. The terrain shifts from sand to rock, and my Friulane Shoes kept me confident and secure throughout.

Spiaggia del Relitto

Spiaggia del Relitto is a secluded beach reached via coastal trails. Rocky stretches required stable footwear — and again, Friulane Flats proved ideal.

Caprera left an indelible mark on my heart. Its serene beauty, history, and unforgettable views made this journey special — and my Friulane Shoes made it that much more comfortable and stylish.
